Susan Stange Photography Rebrand | Utah Graphic Designer
Back towards the beginning of the year, I changed my branding packages to include more things that I thought would be of amazing value to my design clients. Susan was one of the first clients that took part in my new packages. Susan is a maternity, newborn, and family photographer located in Davis County Utah. She was actually the photographer that did our lifestyle newborn pictures a couple weeks after Raegan was born. To read about that shoot, click HERE!
For all of my design clients, I start out with a questionnaire. It helps get my clients in the right frame of mind to know what direction they want to head in for their project, and it helps me get a good idea of what they want. The questionnaire asks things like colors and images they are drawn to, fonts they love or want, links to inspiration boards on Pinterest, etc. I also ask my design clients to describe their business, who their ideal client is, and who they are as a person.
When I asked Susan to describe her business, she used the words: real, authentic, beautiful, genuine, emotional, and empowering. I think these definitely show in her work with mothers and families. I definitely noticed it in my own family pictures! She also had this to say about what makes her and her business unique:
Honestly, the most unique thing about my business is me. Lots of people are birth photographers, but not all of us have delivered with an epidural and without. Not all of us have open minds to all types of birth styles in multiple situations. I really care about my clients and, being a mother and experiencing birth three (almost four!) times myself, I know how incredible and irreplaceable the experience is. I offer my clients much more than many others in my profession because I don’t think 20 images does a birth story justice. I understand that things happen and situations change and am flexible enough to bend and change with them. I love birth, but more than that, I love families. I love the feeling in the hospital room when a new little one joins a loving family and the looks on Mom and Dad’s faces as they stare at their new baby. They don’t care about anything or anyone else and all they can do is stare. That’s my favorite moment. They totally ignore me and all I have to do is watch them and make sure I show them later how beautiful they are in that moment, how strong, and how powerful their connection is. It’s incredible to see and I always feel so humble and grateful to be a witness to it.
I loved working with her on creating a gorgeous brand identity that will grow with her and her business. Take a look below at some of the amazing imagery we came up with!
