Logan Utah Temple Barn | Erickson Extended Family Pictures
Fall is officially here, and I couldn’t have been more excited to kick off the season with a session of the Erickson family. They are one of the cutest families I’ve worked with, and I was so happy that Cristian contacted me to do their pictures. The old Logan Utah Temple Barn provided the perfect backdrop for their session, with the leaves on the trees surrounding the building just starting to change colors. It was the perfect fall location.
I first met one of the Erickson daughters, Rees, when I worked with her at Al’s, a sporting goods company located in Logan, Utah. We got along great as we worked together in the clothing department at Al’s. She was quite a bit younger than me, and ended up going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints not too long after we started working together. I ended up leaving Al’s while she was on her mission, and I hadn’t seen her for quite a few years until her mom contacted me about doing their family pictures. I was so happy to see Rees again, and meet her new husband and their cute little baby, Aiden. He’s just a couple months younger than my youngest daughter. He had the cutest little smile where all he would do was stick his tongue out. See if you can spot that sweet little smirk in their pictures.
Jeff and Cristian have 6 of the cutest kids (grown up kids, but kids none the less). I loved seeing how they all interacted with each other, and how much love they have for each other. Only 2 kids are currently married, and both have children of their own. The other 4 are living it up, doing the whole single life thing.
Both grandkids are adorable, but Zac and Whitney’s little girl was to die for. This poor kid decided that it would be a good idea to trip over a toy and fall onto another toy, thus giving herself a black eye just days before family pictures. Despite that, she was just so cute and full of energy. She has been working on perfecting walking, and just wanted to walk everywhere during our session.
I had the best time shooting with the Erickson family. Families are definitely one of my favorite things to shoot And fall is my favorite time of year to take pictures.
