Utah Fall Forest Elopement Styled Shoot
Last fall, I had the amazing opportunity to host my very first big styled shoot. I had done small ones in the past with just myself, a model with her own wedding dress, and a hair and makeup artist. But this time around, I wanted to do a big one with several amazing wedding Vendors from Utah participating, and to invite other photographers. It turned out beautifully, even if there was a lot of stress involved in the planning and execution.
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to do something of an elopement in the woods kind of thing. Elopements are such a beautiful way to get married, with just the closest of friends or family there to support you. I sometimes wish I could go back and have just eloped with my husband instead of planned this big wedding to satisfy our moms' wishes. There's just something so intimate and personal about just the two of you, and perhaps a handful of other people there, sharing in your love for each other. And because of this beautiful shared experience, I've wanted to become more of an elopement photographer, serving couples all over Utah and the surrounding areas, who want to have adventurous weddings.
I learned a lot from setting up this shoot. Models bailed on me, we lost the bride model at one point and had to drive around to find her (that was totally my bad), I had invited too many photographers and didn't have enough models. There are definitely things that will change going forward, but I loved putting together this shoot! Its definitely become a passion of mine that will continue in the future.
We had so many amazing vendors from northern Utah contribute to make this shoot as beautiful as possible. From make up and hair, the wedding dress, flowers, and cake, everything turned out beautifully and how I had envisioned it in my head.
